ARABESQUE: Dancing on the Edge in Los Angeles

This new title, due to be released in a short time, is the prequel to The Church of Tango: a Memoir by Cherie Magnus

Arabesque is also a memoir, being about my life from 1960-1963, when I was a Dance Major at UCLA.

I am seventeen and on the edge--of a career in dance, of an education at UCLA, one of America's finest universities, of passionate first love and a life of my own. It’s 1960 in Los Angeles and the world is also on the threshold of cataclysmic changes as I wrestle with twisted dreams, love turned dark, goals spun upside down. Sometimes on the way to realizing your hopes, the path divides and you get lost…
