A teenaged dance student who
dreams of being professional, enters UCLA in 1960 to further her ambition and
to get away from her fighting parents living in the San Fernando Valley. She meets a
handsome grad student during orientation and begins a love affair with him that
leads to depression and a mental breakdown.
